Privacy Policy

This website uses WordPress Stats, a web analytics service provided by Automattic (developers of WordPress). Wordpress Stats uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Automattic on their servers. Automattic will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Automattic may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser.

While Automattic has recently integrated Quantcast tracking into their WordPress Stats suite (read more about this here), the website operator has installed Frank Goossens’ DoNotTrack plugin to prevent Quantcast from receiving information from the website’s visitors.

In addition to WordPress Stats (which is primarily used to improve my website structure and determine what content my readers are most interested in), your email address is potentially collected when you leave a comment (dependent on whether you provide a ‘real’ address) and when you use the contact form. The website operator will not make your email available to any third-party, nor will they provide IP address information unless compelled by law enforcement. For users’ convenience, social media plugins have been installed; Facebook, Google, and Twitter may exploit these buttons to develop social graphs over time.

I will vigorously challenge, to the best of my abilities, any subpoena or attempts by government agencies/private sector organizations to gain access to any information that you provide through this website.
